I don't think anyone is saying that the republicians are not partly guilty also....but why is Obama hiding the facts from us? He is up to his neck, indeed the mud is over his head in the sub prime mess with the banks. AND we the people of the USA are suffering for it. Obama is a cold hearted man and has no conscience. Obama is not cool, he is COLD.

i thought after recently reading the bible i would put up for disussion some recent scriptures up which for me show that jesus never viewed himself as god and anyone listening would also see it this way too.. first mark 10 :17-20.

- this is never a dispute that can be solved with current Scripture and interpretation.
- I will add that, if you want to create a very long thread on JWD, the Trinity/Arianism is one of many subjects, all well known and already beaten to death here, to choose from.

Physical pain, no matter how severe, has never made me cry.
And I have endured alot of it.
When I do cry, it is (usually) tears of joy, or (rarely) tears of pain I have caused someone else.

we hear about this kind of abasement in other '3rd world' countries...where rich american (and others) can abuse foreign children on so-called 'sex vacations'.
apparently, us 'sex tourists' don't have to go that far anymore, there are plenty of home grown victims that are our own citizens.
i knew that this occured here -- i was just shocked at the scale.. i applaude the fbi and others in their efforts to find and save these children.. *sigh*.

"Long ago, in a land far away", is how I recall that season azadub.
Many, many, moons have passed since I wuzadub.
I now see that season as a time of introspection, reflecting on how I can better imitate my lord, not by the things seen by the masses, but by the things unseen by the masses.
Of course, anytime is a good time to partake of the bread and the wine, so long as they are partaken of in an atmosphere and mindset of due respect and recognition of the pain our Lord endured so that we might be given grace by Him.

PS- I am disgusted by how the JWs shut up the kingdom of heaven by teaching lies about two classes of Christians, forbidding all but a few to partake in the New Covenant of our Lord and Savior, an unscriptural teaching.

They strike me as:
- Angry & Bitter, full of self pity.
- Devoid of personal accountability and responsibilty.
- Confused outlook.

I can't agree on that summary.
I have found that if you spend sufficient time with anyone, you will find everyone is messed up in some ways.
Most choose to deal with tough questions by choosing answer(s) that feel good so they can stop thinking.
Anyone who can "sum things up in 5 minutes" has stopped thinking.
In life, there are always more questions than answers.
What we think we "know" we merely think.
Unfortunately, not all learn this.
